Recreate NZ facilitates Moxie Employment placements with businesses that share our values. The aim is to carefully match Moxie trainees with suitable employers and facilitate a training period that results in permanent, part time employment.

Moxie Employment achieves success because trainees already participate in other Recreate NZ programmes, allowing facilitators to deeply understand individuals—including their strengths and challenges—and can confidently advocate to employers. In some instances, we may suggest you attend other programmes that will support learning in specific skill areas as well as giving us time to get to know you better.

We have seen great success in the past few years and are very keen to keep growing this exciting and dynamic employment stream. Moxie Employment placements are arranged with employers as opportunities arise. Employers are then matched with appropriate trainees based on interests, skill, location, and shift times. We will do our best to find work for all who are interested, but suggest you continue your own investigations too.

Embark on an exhilarating camp at Blue Mountain Adventure Centre! Experience the thrill of outdoor activities like rafting and rock climbing. It will be an awesome 4 days spent with Waikato Recreate as we push boundaries and fill the days with fun and friendship. With gorgeous views and expert guides this camp is perfect for both beginner and seasoned adventurers.

Join us for an epic lad’s club getaway to Taupō! We'll begin the  adventure at an exciting water park. Zoom down thrilling slides or take a  break in the soothing hot pools. If you’re keen for some friendly competition  we will be having a fun game of ten-pin bowling.

Join us for our weekly On The Move programme! This Life Skills module is all about learning healthy habits and getting active alongside your peers! Activities may include material arts, trampolining, rock climbing, kayaking and so much more! This Life Skills module is a great opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and develop a new interest in a range of different activities.

This midweek programme is part of our Moxie Work Experience programme stream, where we will be participating in meaningful, skill-based opportunities for participants.

Join us as we help to better our community by  volunteering at different places around our city. We hope to make a  difference within our community and learn transferrable skills that will help  participants in future jobs.

Come and join us for a rejuvinating weekend away. We will be enjoying scenic beach walks along the beauitful North Shore Bays, relaxing at the local hot pools, rock climbing and so much more! See you there.

Saturday 1^st March

Show us your surf boarding skills during this fun day at the beach! We will be catching waves with South Pacific Surf School and then spending the afternoon enjoying the sunshine at Mount Beach!

Get ready to groove at our disco-themed karaoke night! Shine bright in your best disco outfits while belting out your beloved hits. Join us for an evening of fun and unforgettable performances!

Spend the weekend with us as we discover all that Waihi Beach has to offer! We will have sandcastle competitions, go swimming and enjoy yummy ice creams!

Come  and enjoy a thrilling day horse riding in the scenic fields of Rotorua. We  will be guided through our pony lead ride as we learn the basics about these  majestic animals.

Saturday 15^th March

Come and experience an energising day. Boxing, where you can train like a champion! We will be learning different boxing techniques, building our fitness and confidence in an experienced and supported environment.

Join us for a fun weekend away in Rotorua! We will be bouncing around at Motion Entertainment, along with showing off our ninja skills at their new Ninja Park!
