Recreate NZ facilitates Moxie Employment placements with businesses that share our values. The aim is to carefully match Moxie trainees with suitable employers and facilitate a training period that results in permanent, part time employment.

Moxie Employment achieves success because trainees already participate in other Recreate NZ programmes, allowing facilitators to deeply understand individuals—including their strengths and challenges—and can confidently advocate to employers. In some instances, we may suggest you attend other programmes that will support learning in specific skill areas as well as giving us time to get to know you better.

We have seen great success in the past few years and are very keen to keep growing this exciting and dynamic employment stream. Moxie Employment placements are arranged with employers as opportunities arise. Employers are then matched with appropriate trainees based on interests, skill, location, and shift times. We will do our best to find work for all who are interested, but suggest you continue your own investigations too.

Tuesday 14th - Friday 17th January

Introducing Smart Sustainability! A dynamic, new Life Skills programme designed to equip you with practical tools for living sustainably. Learn eco-friendly habits, reduce your environmental impact, and make informed choices for a healthier planet. Join us to transform everyday actions into meaningful change and be part of a greener future!

Wednesday's, 19^th February – 9^th April, 8-week course, 9am-4pm

On the Move is back for Term One 2025! This Life Skills module is all about learning healthy habits and getting active alongside your peers! Activities may include material arts, trampolining, rock climbing, kayaking and so much more! This Life Skills module is a great opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and develop a new interest in a range of different activities.

Friday 7^th – Sunday 9^th March

Escape for a weekend to Parakai Springs, where you can relax in natural hot pools and enjoy an adrenaline-filled day at Tree Adventures. Soak, unwind, and then challenge yourself on thrilling high ropes courses in a beautiful forest setting!

Friday 14^th – Sunday 16^th March

Escape to Rotorua for a weekend of adventure and relaxation, staying in a charming rustic home. Experience the thrill of zorbing down rolling hills, then unwind in the soothing geothermal hot pools—a perfect blend of excitement and tranquillity!

Friday  21^st – Sunday 23^rd March

Come to the beautiful Taupō with us! We will spend a lovely 3 days here; we will embark on an Ernest Kemp Scenic Cruise of Lake Taupo on a replica steamboat!  We will also check out the Aratiatia Rapids and Huka Falls. A great weekend surrounded by nature.

Friday 28^th – Sunday 30^th March

Enjoy our Waitomo Adventure weekend kayaking down the scenic Waikato River, surrounded by nature's beauty. Then, we will visit the Otorohanga Kiwi House to get up close with New Zealand’s iconic native bird for a perfect mix of outdoor fun and wildlife exploration!

Strike  up a fantastic evening by hitting the bowling alley for some friendly competition. Afterwards, we will head over for some delicious burgers and chips, celebrating our strikes and spares with great food, fun and company.

Enjoy a day at Tree Top Walk Rotorua, where you'll stroll among towering redwoods on elevated walkways. Afterward, relax by the lakeside with delicious ice creams for a perfect nature-filled escape!

This awesome day will begin with getting our creative juices flowing at Splashy! We will paint our own item, creating unique master pieces. After this we will head to Raglan Beach for a relaxing afternoon, strolling along the shore, building sandcastles, collecting shells and more.

Join us for this classic holiday programme day! We will begin the day by kicking our feet up at the cinemas and enjoying the latest blockbuster movie. After this we will swim and race down the hydroslides at Waterworld.
